you're in for a treat!
Here we are, back in the boondocks! It's nice to be home ... hello, bountiful garden! Hello, funny cats! Hello, sewing machine! And, oh, man, you guys are still here? Roof leaks, sink leaks, kitchen-without-a-dishwasher and scrubbing-board-where-there-should-be-a-washing-machine? I guess you all come as part of the "It's so charming to live in rural Mexico" package? (Insert sarcastic smile here.)
We had a wonderful time this past week and a half with family and friends, and we had great fun documenting our vacation with our new camera. Here's a little photo journal to give you a taste of the loveliness you will be witnessing with more frequency in my blog posts!
Whoopdee! A humongous pile of fabric and a fantastic camera ... how am I going to be able to do anything other than make things and blog about them?
Can I ask for your expertise? Do any of you use Flickr to upload your photos to your blogs? I have (supposedly) set up my flickr account to be able to download directly to Blogger, but it only allows me to upload one photo per post. Also, the photo comes out somehow chopped - it seems to cut off one of the gray borders (see the previous post.) Any Flickr tips? Do I need to upgrade to a pro account to be able to do what I want to do?It's nice to be back to the blogging world! I've missed you all!
:) Meg

Hi! I just discovered you through Angry Chicken.
Here's how to solve your flickr problem (I too learned the hard way):
Click on the photo you want to use. Once it loads there will be a bunch of icons over the top of it. Click on the magnifying glass that says "All Sizes." Then you just need to select the size you want to post. I always choose the medium size because that's what works with the margins of my blog.
Underneath the photo is the code you need, so you just copy that, and then place it in your blog where you want the picture to show up. All Done!
I look forward to reading more and getting to "know" you better!
good to see you back, sound like you had a fab trip - so why do you live in rural Mexico?
I got your package yesterday, lovely. Thanks.
Yep, I do it the same way as Reese. Just make sure you copy the first one (HTML code), not the second one (the URL).
Also, if you've never added HTML code directly before, to do it, you need to click the "Edit Html" tab on the top right of where you write the message. Then click your cursor where you want the picture to go and paste the HTML code there. Then you can click the "Compose" tab and go back to see how it looks.
It's not hard at all once you do it a couple of times and it creates the photo as a link directly to where your photo is on Flickr.
Good luck!
And lovely pictures, BTW. I'm jealous of the fabric, too!
