yoga photos

Here they are! Twenty-five yoga poses fit for children, ages 2.5-96! The necessary factors finally came together - sufficient time, a sunny afternoon, and a great model! (Thanks to Maria who was in my class for two years. I just had to tell her the name of the pose and she hopped right to it!)

For instructions on how to implement these yoga photos in your home or classroom, visit this post. To print off your own set, head on over to my Flickr photos. Those of you who already have a Flickr account can have prints made and sent to you. Simply click on the Children's Yoga Poses set, and on the set's main page at the top you will see the button "Make Stuff." Click on QOOP make prints. Ordering prints this way will cost you about $5.75, shipping included. There's also the option of downloading the photos onto your computer, copying them to a disc or memory card, and taking them in to be printed off yourself.

Update: The yoga card photos are also available for download through my Box.net account, in a folder called "Yoga Cards." Those of you living outside of the U.S. will have to use this option, as Flickr doesn't send prints to other countries.

Here's another way to order the prints from Flickr, if you don't want to go through QOOP:

To order prints from my main page, click on the picture to see a larger view. From this view, you should see an "order prints" button along the top of the picture. Click on it - it will ask you to change your printing preferences and verify that you are in the US. After you go through this little detour, a link will be displayed that asks you if you want to return to the photo you were looking at. Click on that, and now you should be able to order the size that you want and add it to your cart.

I hope your children love them!

Namaste,
Meg

I'm so happy to have found your blog! My 9-year-old son went to Waldorf Preschool and is now in public school, but we lived most of his life "by hand" until the past few years. I miss that life. Now with a new baby and Peter asking for the activities we once did very often, I am inspired to sew, bake, walk, read, discover together. Thank you for the inspiration.

Namaste,
Karen

...forgot to mention, I have been mystified by Montessori, but always interested in it, and really appreciate the links you provided.
Thanks!

Hi, Meg!
Tried to order them through Flikr/QOOP, but it said I didn't have permission to print that set?

Kristin, you should be able to print the photos using QOOP as long as 1.) your billing address is in the US, and 2.) you are a member of flickr. Does this help? Let me know if you can get it to work - I have my preferences set up so that any flickr account holder should be able to print all of my pics.

Nope, still can't even though I meet both criteria. It just shows me photos from my own albums and says I don't have permission to print your set. Guess I'll try the download and self-print method--thanks for making them available!

Thanks for the yoga photos! They are beautiful. I have the cards all ready to go already. Just one question - how many do you start with in the basket? All or a few? If a few, which ones are best to start with? Thanks again Meg - you are very appreciated! School starts in one week, this will be a hit I'm sure!

Hi! I would love to make yoga cards for my daughters classroom. The flckr account says I don't have permission. May I have permission? Or am I not pushin the right button.Love the photos. Your student is amazing.
Best,
Alice

To those having problems ordering prints on Flickr, I'm on it. One more thing to try - change your printing preferences, or try ordering the prints individually rather than in a set. Everything's set up on my end, so if it doesn't work with these last two tips, then the bug is on flickr's end. Sorry about the trouble! I've also made the photos available to download at my box.net account - see the link in the post.

Linda - I would give the presentation using all of the cards/poses that you feel comfortable doing. In my classroom, the presentation is given with all 25 cards and they are always out.

I had trouble printing them too when I clicked on the "Make Stuff" button, etc. But then I just clicked on the individual photo and up above each picture there should be the option to order prints of that individual photo. It took a little while to go through each photo individually and order them but it was well worth it. I'm excited to present these to my class.
